I have a routine that I wrote using Google Home App on my iPhone. I am unable to stop and or delete the routine. I is running all the time. This routine was to control lights when I am not home. When I open the routine I get the following message, "This routine has started. To make changes stop the routine first." When I tap the blue "Stop Routine" the screen flashes but it doesn't stop the routine. I made another simple routine, started it and was able to stop it as described above. Don't know why I can't stop this one. I have deleted all the devices, deleted the app, reinstalled the app, readied the devices and the routine is still there, running away, and I can't stop it. Is there a way to stop it or at the very least delete the app so all data is lost too, including this very troubling routine. I have downloaded Amazon Alexa app and those routines performing the same function seem to work fine. I have ordered a google nest speaker but may have to return it and get a Alexa Echo one instead. I have spent days on this problem and had zero luck. Please Help.

Same here! I made a personal routine as an alarm and tested it, but it couldn't be stopped. After I tapped the "stop routine", it refreshed, however, the problem is still the same. I've deleted and reinstalled the app many times, but the problem still couldn't be solved. I've already posted this problem before.

Unfortunately, none of the comments in the reply to your original post helped. Lights are still going on and off. I need to find a way to completely delete the app along with the app data.

Hey there,
Sorry to hear about the troubles that you're having as I know this can be confusing, but I'm happy to help.
I would suggest reviewing this article as it has a lot of great information about Routines. I would also suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the app and/or clearing your cache and cookies through the app as well.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Best regards,
Garrett DS

I did try deleting and reinstalling app. Problem routine is still there and says it running and to stop it to edit / delete it. Which I cannot do. I also went to Google assistant on the web and could see the routine there. No way to delete it there either. Only solution so far is not run the app on my iPhone, in other words I deleted again. Witht the app not on my phone, my lights do not keep turning on and off. Since then I have replaced my router with a new one which meant I had to since all my devices again. I will try to redownload the google home app for a third time and see what happens. In the mean time Alexa is working fine with no issues.

I appreciated all the advices you gave us, although no commons helped in one of these posts. I am still waiting for other solutions.
