I've never had a problem with the app before, but randomly today, i tried to launch the app and it went to the "Get Started" screen- and then as I tried to log in with my account email, it then gave me an error saying I "do not have access to this service" and I can't find exactly where to enable the "service"? Has anyone experienced this?

so just an update- i am able to access my camera devices if i log in via the desktop/web app- so i'm not sure why i can't do it through the mobile app anymore. if anyone has any suggestions?

Hi Melany thank you so much for your response! Yes, I’m using the latest version - I’m on an iPhone using ios26 and I deleted the app and reinstalled. Once I input my email, it then goes to the screen that says I don’t have access and that I need to go into my admin console to enable it- when I log into my admin console, I don’t see any options to enable the google home app. Everything was working fine before and suddenly I don’t understand what changed that I now don’t have access. And yes, when I log in via the web app- I can see my camera devices but don’t see my thermostat. Any help or ideas or would so appreciated

I did try logging into via my iPad and it gave me an error saying “unexpected response from server” and can’t go further from there

I have the exact same problem. Couldn't access Google home on the app anymore, and then today, I can't access it on the home.google.com URL either. I can't find where to turn it on either. SOmeone needs to get an answer here.

glad i'm not the only one this has happened to! I also found i couldn't access anything via the desktop app anymore either. I still haven't been able to find a solution.

I was able to get it to work. Google changed something and the free Google plan had to be changed to the paid plan. It now costs money to get the ability to access. I paid it and everything was back. I wish they had informed us. But they didn’t. Hope this helps.

Google Workspace Enterprise Essentials. It is $12/month or you could save money by purchasing a year commitment. I did the monthly, as I wasn't sure it would work for me or not.
It does include a lot of features including the Google suite of products that compete with Microsoft Office. I may change to those, we'll see. I hope this helps.
