Hello there,
After charging my Google Nest Doorbell (Battery) for the third time, I mounted it as usual. It stayed in it's mount for a week or so, with numerous button pushes, capturing video at normal.
When my stepmother left the house, she called back in to tell us our doorbell was on the floor (it was not when everyone entered). The lens has been smashed like many others on here - but otherwise is functioning normally.
I appear to be one of many people to whom this has occurred.
Two points: 1) the mounting system is evidently not up to the task; if the doorbell can fall off I can't imagine it's hard to steal - with or without the key 2) the doorbell itself lacks adequate in-built protection of the lens.
I see that other people have successfully filled in a form to receive assistance. Personally I would be happy with a repair - it simply needs a new lens pushing into place, but it appears this is not something that Google Nest is able to perform.
Many thanks in advance for any help!
Rich
