App version 5.68.0.11 update

NestGuy55

Recent update to the app (5.68.0.11) has caused issues streaming camera feeds on all 3 iOS devices that I have. Stream will play ok for maybe 60seconds and will then revert to the blue swirling loading icon. No other changes have been made to our home network and no other issues experienced with other app/devices on the the network. Any advice would be much appreciated?

Hi folks,

I appreciate the help @Rubes. Sorry to hear about your experience in the Google Home app. Are we still getting the same concern? I wanted to check back in to see if you have other questions and concerns. Feel free to let me know.

Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve, yes still an ongoing problem. No solution has been posted. Just to clarify, it is the Nest app not Google Home app. Thanks, Dave.

Yes.  Issue still going on with scrubbing history and app freezes constantly. All of my Apple products .. same issue.  IPhone 10 sometimes better, but not like before I chose to download the latest update 2 weeks ago.  This is very frustrating and the longer it goes on the more folks are getting pissed off.  Please make it a priority with a new update that fixes this bug.

Hello,

I have the same problem with all my cameras. This issue has been present since the update 5.68.0.11 on 7th april. Can't be offered a working downgrade??

Hope for a quick solution!

Same issue here and it's definitely a Nest app problem since my Eufy app works just fine and so do all other apps. Is Google reading these problems? Are they going to fix it? Because I am paying them for this. It keeps recording everything 24/7 but what is the point of it if you can't watch?

Hello, I switched to the "Google Home App" and I have the impression that this is exactly what Google wants! Same as with the Nest app for AppleTV. It stopped working after I switched from a Nest account to a Google Nest account.

I have no idea if they're going to do anything about it, but I'm afraid not. We are at the mercy of the great Great GREAT Google

I have 4 cameras and they are useless if I can’t view the history.

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. Have tried the Google home App for a couple of days and have found that it also freezes or the screen goes black. The added issue in Google home is that you can’t always tell that the stream has frozen as there is no time displayed in the image unlike the nest app.

Same problem here. Latest update has made the app worse. Release notes simply say "bug fixes and enhancements" just like the past 50 updates. Yet I see no improvement. It's only worse. I think this is google trying to get us to stop using the nest app. Does anyone know how to revert back to an older version?
