I just bought my camera recently and the camera was not picking up activities. When it does pick them up, it's only partial activity. I maxed out the event duration in my settings. Then I upgraded so I could get full video history. I can't see the full video history and the camera is still not showing events. Camera is fully charged, great view of the backyard, etc. I have called customer service before and it didn't fix the problem.

If you purchased your camera recently you should have the Google Nest Camera (Battery). If you upgraded so you could get "full video history" you should have a "Nest Aware Plus" subscription. However, in order to get 24/7 video history with the battery camera, it needs to be plugged in:
"The Nest Cam (battery) must be connected to a power source to have 24/7 video history. If your camera is battery powered, it will only have event video history, even if you have a Nest Aware Plus subscription."

We've had a battery camera for 20 months, plugged in with the optional power cable. If we go to our camera in the Google Home app and click on "History", we get a timeline that allows us to scroll through the last 10 days of history. (It's pretty cumbersome to use, unlike the timeline in the Google Nest app.). If we click on "Full history" we get a list of video events for the last 60 days.

The home app is a joke. I haven't been able to use my battery cameras or the associated home app at all for 2.5 weeks now. Prior to the last 2.5 weeks the battery cameras never performed as advertised. My wifi signal is excellent all my software is up to date on all my devices yet the cameras and home app are still unusable. I have a subscription it makes no difference. The battery cameras are not fit for purpose i wish I'd read up on them before purchasing them. I fell for googles advertising pitch and i feel like a fool. Its been over a year and they have just been garbage the whole time.
