I have 4 nest cameras and can see history for 5 days. I recently added an indoor camera and cannot see history for more than 3 hours. Why?
I don't think it is related but I also cannot see the new camera in the Nest application. I can only see it in the google Home application.
Thanks,
Kevin

If you have Google Nest cameras that have history for 5 days, you must have 1st Gen Nest Aware subscriptions on each of those cameras.
The 1st Gen Nest Aware subscriptions are not available on the new Google Nest cameras that work only in the Google Home app. Without a subscription, you get event history for the most recent 3 hours.
You can switch to the newer Nest Aware ($60/year) or Nest Aware Plus ($120/year) subscriptions, which have been available the last couple of years and cover ALL the cameras and doorbells in the same Google Nest "home/structure".

I’ve seen some first generation cameras for sale on the internet. If I purchase one of these and add them to my home will I get the same 24x7 history as my current 1st gen cameras?

If you buy 1st gen Google Nest cameras and want to get 24/7 history, you will need a Nest Aware subscription of some kind.
You can still buy the 1st gen Nest Aware subscriptions (which are per-camera) for 1st gen cameras if you have NOT migrated your Nest account to Google (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9546397?hl=en#zippy=%2Cwhat-do-i-get-with-nest-aware%2C...).
Otherwise you'll need a Nest Aware or Nest Aware Plus subscription, which covers all the cameras in your Google Nest "home/structure".
