Camera going offline after power outages - nest outdoor cam gen 1 these cameras have a known problem coming back online after power outages and its not just one of the cameras its pretty much all of them its a miracle when one of them makes it back online after a power outage and it appears google uses bots to responds to customer posts about this because there's no solution other than do without your security cameras until the ice melts and you can get your ladder and get 20' feet in the air to unplug it and plug back in how primitive is that for a technology company seeing how this problem has been going on for over a year it appears no solutions in site we as their customers should make it known by going and producing some negative reviews so others don't waste their time and money with these expensive trash cameras.

You are right it's a huge problem with these cameras. We have a lot of power outages in our area. I have brought the cameras inside for set up. Only to return them back to the original spot. Message i receive over & over is something went wrong try again. The latest out door camera doesn't even have a status light? I have tested the outlet & there is no problem with this connection. I recently bought several ring cameras( battery operated) they connect & connect flawlessly. I much prefer nest video quality over rings. But at least i get a notification.

Hey there,
Thank you for bringing up the concern you're experiencing, I would love to look into this further for you. The first troubleshooting step that I'd recommend would be to restart your device. This process should keep all your settings, and reconnect it to the same Wi-Fi network. This is helpful if it ever freezes, has connection problems, or isn't working normally.
Best regards,
Brad
