Hi,
Police is searching for someone who passed my house yesterday and most likely was picked up by my camera. The problem is that I do not have the subscription and there is only 3h of history available. Is there any way to recover the history or it is physically deleted? E.g. if I enable the subscription now, would past events be available?
Thanks a lot,
Alex

Sadly, if you don't have a Nest Aware subscription, any video event history is physically deleted after 3 hours.
This is Google Nest's long-time practice:
"All video history is deleted on a rolling basis. This means that, depending on the Nest Aware subscription you have, older saved video is deleted from the cloud after a certain number of days."

Keeping video history longer than the customer has agreed to would probably be illegal and unethical.

Hello everybody,
@AlexN, thanks for getting back to us. We understand that you wanted to help with their investigation. However, past events can't be retrieved even when you subscribe now to the Nest Aware. In case you have other questions or concerns, don't forget to post it here.
Thanks for answering, MplsCustomer and Jenelyn.
Regards,
Emerson
