I have a Google Camera and realized I didn’t have a subscription so my camera only had 3 hours of history. I had a package stolen and need to go back up to 48 hours. I bought the 30 day storage, but I’m not seeing the history. My question is, are those recordings lost or can Google get those added back to my history? I figured they are somewhere on the cloud and paying the subscription would give me access. Someone please confirm.

Hello, I'm an end user like you. This question has been asked a number of times in the last few years. I'm sorry to say the answer is no. The way I understand it is google is not allowed to legally store any recordings with out your permission. So by activating the subscription you do not get any kind of history coming to life. It only starts to record from the moment you activate the subscription. When you subscribe you are giving legal permission for the recordings to happen.

If you purchased a Nest Aware subscription with event video history for the most recent 30 days, that history started getting recorded when you purchased the subscription. There is no previous history before the start of your subscription. (I don't think it would be legal or ethical for Google Nest to be saving our video history until we authorize it in the form of a subscription.)
