I have read through your trouble sheeting issues when the camera is not recording people that are in view. We turned the notifications off and then back on and walked in front of the camera. It still didn't work. We spent $190 and now an $80 yearly subscription to not have the cameta record people walking on our property?! We are not happy with these cameras.

It looks like you may have a Google Nest Battery Camera. We've had one since Sept. 2021. Since it is plugged in and we have a Nest Aware Plus subscription, we get 24/7 recording. However, if we unplug the camera, so that it is only recording events it detected, it does not wake up from "Idle" mode to detect and record an event if we walk in front of the camera. When it is plugged in, it detects most events, and even if it does not detect an event, it still records it.

Thank you, this is helpful. Since plugging it back in, it records when ppl are in view. Disappointing though that it must always be plugged in.

Hello, Looking back on this forum this exact same thing has played out many many times. I wish Google would just discontinue the current battery only product and replace them with better ones. It leaves a lot of people not wanting to go further into Google's cameras.
