I have had my camera installed in the same place connected to the same power supply for years without any issues, until it suddenly stopped recording events last week.
when I go to the camera feed, it says that the device is offline because of an empty battery. All this when the camera is connected to a power supply.
since I have several cameras, I swapped the power supply and connected the camera, yet the error message is not going away.
any other troubleshooting actions I can try to get the camera to reboot and start charging again?

We've had a battery camera for 4 years now, plugged in with the optional power cable, and have never had a battery issue. If we go to Settings | Battery, ours shows as "Plugged in" with an infinity symbol.
Is the USB plug on the bottom of the camera clean and dry and uncorroded? (Our camera is under a camera shield, so it stays pretty dry.)
Are you using the 1-meter charging cord that came with the camera, or the 5-meter or 10-meter optional power cables? (I'm not sure the 1-meter charging cord is designed to power the camera on an ongoing basis.)
I hope the cause is not that your battery is simply failing.

I hope so too, but it is also what I am afraid off. As mentioned, even with another power supply, it does not look (outdoor 5 meter) it does not look like it is charging. Not sure how else to test..

Hi @Rbelling
I recently had that issue with an outdoor cam and replaced the cord. That solved it for me. Can you give that a try?
