Camera won't record more than 3-5 seconds

My camera (outdoor plugged in) won't record more than 3-5 seconds. I changed the settings to max 3 minutes and put the battery option to highest but still only get 3-5 seconds. What could it be?  Thanks!

Hi there, 

I apologize for my late response and thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I understand how frustrating your situation must be, and I would love to help however I can. I would suggest updating your settings to match what you want to be recorded. It could be that the events being recorded are only that small. The newer 2021 devices are event-based recording devices only.

Hello, I just realized that I have responded to the email instead of here. Well, I can't seem to make it record more than a few seconds. I tried changing the battery option and changed the video option to record for 3 minutes but it keeps recording a few seconds. Videos are just stopped or cut off. The doorbell works just fine. This only happens to both of my nest battery cameras (they are plugged in 24/7)

Understood. To confirm, do you have an active Nest Aware subscription? If so, could you tell us the type of Nest Aware you have (new Nest aware, Nest Aware Plus)?
