Cameras won’t record longer then 30secs

Hi

My cameras are outdoor battery ones. They are set to max and only record a few seconds and it’s really frustrating. I pay for the yearly nest subscription as well

We have a Google Nest Camera (Battery) that is plugged in with the optional power cable and our events are captured just fine with max length set to 3 minutes. Perhaps your cameras are defective, or perhaps the cameras cut events short when running on battery power.

It’s really strange as they’re always near fully charged, I’ve had it less than a year and have it set to max. What would you suggest?

I don't have any further suggestions; just that either your cameras are defective or when battery-powered they can't capture events longer than 10 seconds. You could try contacting Google Nest Support here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp

I'm sorry to hear that. I understand where you're coming from. Let's check this out — a few questions: when did the issue start? Are your camera event notifications on in the Google Home app? Also, do you have an Android or iPhone?
