Can I turn on/off the new Google Nest Camera (battery) as part of a routine (ex. bedtime)?

Looking to have the cameras activate in two conditiones:

1. When I am Away (automatically turn on when we are out of the house - this is easy).
2. As part of a bedtime routine (ex. Hey Google, it's bedtime), it will activate the cameras. This way when we are home we can activate them automatically overnight. Similar to a security system.

Hi there, Joshua.

Sorry for my late response. Thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I just wanted to make sure that your issue is addressed. You can use the Home Away/Assist like normal if you choose to use it. However, no you cannot turn off the Nest Hello with routines.

Hi - I've just received delivery of 2x Nest Cam Battery and am starting to realise that the ability to control these devices is severely limited compared to the older Nest models.

I have cameras that I only want to be active during specific hours (i.e. night time) and there does not seem any way to do this. So I decided the next best thing was to setup a routine to allow this to be controlled via google home app but it doesn't even seem possible to do that? Is there no way to control the time a camera is operational???

As stated before this is a very basic feature. Any plans to bring this to the google home app?

If I'm home during the day, I dont want to be notified 100 times when the ac guy is coming in and out of the garage, when my wife is going out to drive kids to school, etc. But I do want to get notified if there is some suspicious activity at night. Again, very basic functionality that $20 cameras have. Even more critical to this product given they are battery operated.
