Can't change WiFi on Nest Doorbell Camera

MOSkoots
Community Member

I tried the steps to update the WiFi, because I had to factory reset my Nest Router hub. WiFi is working for everything else. I have gotten just about everything else connected to my Google Home, but when I do the steps for the Nest WiFi update, it doesn't get past the connecting step. Just spins with the doorbell logo for 30minutes or until I stop it. Anyone have ideas or suggestions?

@MOSkoots

Judging from numerous posts in this forum, updating Wi-Fi settings on Google Nest cameras and doorbells is often problematic, which is why Google Nest recommends setting the network name (SSID) and password on a new Wi-Fi modem/router to the same values used on your old modem/router. These are Google Nest Help's instructions:

I tried and still didn't work

If you can't get your battery doorbell reconnected to Wi-Fi using Google Nest's instructions, you could try contacting Google Nest Support: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp
