Can't get Google Assistant to recognize Nest camera

I have a Nest Cam indoor wired gen 2.

The latest Google Home is installed

I can go through the settings below and successfully setup the camera.

Settings

Google Assistant

Manage all assistant settings

Devices

Add device

After going through the steps above, under Assistant devices it says "You don't have any active devices."

Yet the camera is listed in the main "Devices" tab as "Front Door Camera"

When I say "Google nest camera turn on", it says "Sorry, it looks like that device hasn't been set up yet. You can do that in Assistant settings."

Or when I say "Hey Google turn on Nest cam guest mode", it says "Wi-Fi Hotspot isn't available on your device."

Also can't setup Voice Match. It says "you'll first need to setup a device in your Home app."

I have removed the device and un-installed the Google Home app twice.

I've cleared data and cache.

I'm not sure what else to do.

Galaxy S22 Ultra w/ Android 14

Thank you.

WOW,,,, I'm not sure this is it but make sure you have "preview" enabled.  This preview setting gives the Google Home app a number of expanded features.

Lunch the app and going into the SETTINGS (Gear).  Scroll down to Public Preview and select it and make sure you enroll.

It didn't work. I called Google and they couldn't help. I returned the camera.
