I recently moved and need to setup my nest camera again. I have a new WiFi setup as well. When I plug in my camera, it just blinks yellow and of course can’t connect to the new WiFi. I’ve removed it from my home but without WiFi it can’t know that. I’ve tried a factory reset with no luck as well.
I reached out to support and got very poor help. The support article says I can’t factory reset it without connecting it to the WiFi to remove it from the account, but if I could do that I wouldn’t need to factory reset it! There MUST be a way to get out of this mode - seems like a common issue that WiFi might change before someone has the ability to disconnect it (and I never would have thought I needed to do this when I was leaving my old home).

I am not aware of another step you can try. If it is not connected to the same internet before, and removed properly, then it may not work with a new one. Also, what are the steps you are taking to Factory Reset the device?
Best regards,
Brad

Hi Brad, I apologize I thought I had responded.
I pushed a pin into the factory reset button and held for 10 seconds (though honestly I tried all different lengths of times up to 1 minute). I tried various pin sizes and am confident I could feel the button being pressed. I also even tried to rename my internet and password to match what it was before, but that didn’t work either.

Hi there,
I'm sorry to hear about that. Let's check into this further. What type of Nest camera are you using? Also, when and where did you purchase it?
Keep us posted.
Regards,
Steve

He's not the only one needing help.
I have an original Dropcam indoor camera and recently moved. Trying to reinstall this Dropcam via the Nest app and it doesn't set up. Yellow light keeps blinking. The app says to click on the Nest Home logo if it doesn't install automatically. Doing so doesn't do anything related to installations.
I also tried installing the camera via the iOS Nest app. it tries to scan the camera QR code but it never scans it. My QR code sticker on the back of the camera looks different, maybe an older version of QR codes.
This camera now does not function at all and purchasing a future Google product is highly unlikely do to the lack of support.
And before one of the Community Specialists says..." due to inactivity we will be closing this issue", provide a fix first for the rest of us.

Agreed with APDSpider - I've been through all of these questions with a phone representatives, this camera is less than a year old and because of something as simple as a change in WiFi its completely gone to waste? I'm shocked at the fact that there is no real factory reset option - if I had to be connected to the internet to factory reset it, I probably wouldn't need to factory reset it!
The camera is an Indoor, Wired Camera (https://store.google.com/us/product/nest_cam_indoor) purchased about a year ago or less. I have an older nest camera (pre Google) that had absolutely no issue moving homes.
