Can the Nest Doorbell Camera turn on my Porch light?

I would like the Nest Doorbell Camera to turn on my Porch Light when it senses movement at night.  Can this be done?

I got movement alerts from Nest doorbell to turn off my porch lights controlled by a tp-link light switch.  The main issue is turning off the lights without getting another movement alert from Nest.  The camera software sometimes thinks that the lights going off is a movement.  Using Samsung SmartThings, I was able to to flag the false light movements and force the lights to shut off.  If you have some rudimentary programming skills, it is possible to force SmartThings to create simple programming structures like loops.

Well, if your porch light is already controlled via a home automation solution, there *may* be some crazy Rube Goldberg-type way to register the motion events detected by the doorbell and have a downstream process switch on your light (there used to be a way to do this through IFTTT, but IIRC it's no longer supported). Doubt it'll be reliable or supportable, and it would be simpler (and you'd most likely be better off) putting a good fit-for-purpose motion detector on your porch and have it control the light directly or though your home automation system.

My porchlights are automated, and can be controlled through Google Home.  Oddly enough, the IFTTT worked prior to Nest becoming a part of Google.  One would think that the relationship of Google/Nest would have improved the options available to me with regards to Google Home and Nest Hello.

I also have a SmartThings hub, so I am going to look into PsychicRabblit's suggestion.

One would think, but IIRC, IFTTT operated through Works with Nest APIs, which have been deprecated. Unfortunately, I'm not aware that Routines currently has the same capability to access camera events such as motion for process instantiation.

This is a work around to, after so much time has passed with the "works with Google" tools, this should be able to be done in the Routines. This many years on, I wonder if I backed the right smart home horse!
