We have had two cameras stolen from our house about a year ago and I just now realize that if I would’ve submitted, I could’ve gotten cameras replaced by Nest. That’s not a big problem however, now I’m wondering if the person who stole it and is now using it can that be traced to see if that camera is being used? I still have all the paperwork for the cameras so I can submit the documentation which will give the serial number or barcode which ever is needed. Thank you.

No I'm afraid. There is no way to track Nest cameras.

Hi John5004,
Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that. A few questions: when did it happen? What type of cameras were stolen? Did you file a police report about the incident Also, were the cameras active at the time of the theft?
I appreciate the help, davidking.
Thanks,
JT

Happened January 2022 and the other December 2021, both times police reports were filed. They were both active when stolen, we also have the nest aware on each. Nest camera indoor outdoor battery but we had run the wiring to it so it records all the time.
i was just curious if someone is using them if I could track it, I still have all the stickers and boxes for each.
Thank you

Hey there,
Thanks for the follow up. Tracking the camera location isn’t supported. If you’re looking for a replacement, have a look at this article: What to do if your Nest cam or doorbell is stolen.
Thanks,
JT
