Cannot remove camera from mount for setup code. I have the serial numbers. I want to set up 4 outdo

Hi

I cannot remove the cameras from the mount to access the setup code. The camera is stuck tightly to the mount. I have the serial numbers provided by the previous owner.  I don't have the QR codes.

Can you tell me how to connect the camera to my phone using the serial number, please?

Thanks

Kathleen

Unfortunately you need the info on the back of the unit so you must find a way to remove the camera from the mount. Keep in mind that if you have the original camera packaging, the QR code and Entry Key is in the box.

I have the original boxes, but there is scrap of paper in it. Are you saying there is supposed to be a piece of paper? Is it not ON the box?

Let me restate that. There is NO paper in the box. Is it ON the box?

That’s right. It’s usually a small sticker located on one of the sides or inner flaps of the packaging.

Hi Rube's

I  am the 3rd owner of the house since these security cameras were installed. The second owner was not able to get them working and he lived here 5 years.  There is no sticker, no flap, not anything in the box. There is a warranty paper in one box - useless.

Two of the boxes have a "Let's get started" paper, but there is no code. There is black circle with a blue house.  Nothing else there.

There are codes on the bottom of the box, the serial number, a combination of 16 letters and numbers.

The cameras are flashing blue when I walk past. There should be another way to activate them rather than having to dismantle them. The cameras are stuck to the mounts. I am using such force that the eave will come down before the cameras come off their mounts.

Surely there must be a way to use the serial number.

Thanks Kathleen

Okay I ripped the camera off the eave of the house with only minimal damage.

I can see the backplate of the camera.

BUT the steel metal plate is blocking half of the QR code. I cannot get this plate off to get to the QR code. I have the right size little flower looking bit to fit into the middle of the plate but it will not unscrew.

There seem to be 3 smaller screws that need a smaller flower bit for the screwdriver.

WHAT am I supposed to be unscrewing to get to the QR code????

This conversation was almost completely useless, unfortunately. I do appreciate that there was no good assistance that could be provided because what had to be done was LUDICROUS to get to the QR Code or the code.  In the end I had to take a pair of pliers and put down the mountings.  This is A SERIOUS DESIGN FLAW.  I will never buy these for a house.  I inherited them with the house.  As a technology company google needs to find a better way as people move houses all the time.
