Changing WiFi Network for Nest Cam Floodlight

So after contacting Support and having all sorts of bad experiences with Google Support, another thread here that was locked, I have found a workaround, IDK if possible for all users, but certainly the ones that do not want to change their SSID - WiFi passwords.
If you changed your APs\Routers, renaming the SSID to the same the Camera was connected previously and same password, it will make the camera reconnect to the network.
In the meantime, the unreasonable method proposed by Google Support, climbing on a ladder, removing your camera from its base, pressing the reset button (For some of us in the dead of Winter with ice\snow on the floor, like myself), starting the whole setup process from zero and then getting all your preferences, notifications, zones, alerts, etc done all over again seems to be a "reasonable" solution for their support according to all their replies to me.
At what point when more people start to call for this very basic feature to be available to the consumer, bear in mind available on every single camera product out there, the minimal control of the device from within your own network, will Google decide to make it right on their product?
At one point they claimed this is due to security issues, but it is my humble opinion as a cyber-security and network engineer this is utter BS for a badly thought out process that would probably take a minor Firmware upgrade to correct.
