Chime in house not working

If you remove the puck from our doorbell chime on the 2nd gen Nest Doorbell will you damage the doorbell or the Nest Doorbell?

Hi there, if you have the battery powered Nest doorbell there is no need for the chime connector. For the other wired doorbells, the chime connector is necessary as both the ringer and doorbell can be damaged without it.

Changed out transformer to 24v 40vh.  Problem solved.  Unfortunately, Google website was misleading saying lower value transformer would work.  Not a happy camper.
