I have a wired doorbell and it used to notify us within a few seconds of someone pushing the doorbell or approaching the door.
Now it can take from a few seconds to a few minutes to pop up on the phone or speaker. My wife has the same issue.
I had to reset the whole system last month and thought it might fix the problem, but it's gradually getting worse.
I've seen other posts about this issue, but no solutions.

Perhaps there are problems on Google Nest's servers.
Our response times are good when a doorbell is pressed, but sometimes we get "Motion" or "People" notifications 10 or 15 minutes after the event occurred.

Hi, this has been going on for a while. The doorbell delay is intermittent.

We are experiencing delays of up to 10 minutes, which renders the Nest useless.

Griffin and Debbie61, thanks for reaching out — let's see what's going on. A few questions: when did it begin? Is the issue happening with push notifications, or both email and push? Are the notifications delayed on multiple mobile devices?
Try to connect the mobile device to another Wi-Fi or cellular network. Signing in to your account on another mobile device and triggering a notification to test might also help isolate this.

It's happening on all devices and it's push. It does the same on different mobile devices.
I'm not sure why you are going down this line of questioning. It's clearly a Google problem and the in my view the delay is coming from googles servers.

It's the same with our Nest. Push delays on all devices and we've done resets, reboots, reinstalled, all of the things. (I've communicated with a rep on Twitter.) The problem is with Google, not on user's end.
