I am finding this happening more and more.
Doorbell button pushed.
Get notifications on Google Nest Hub's and Speaker's within a couple of seconds.
But notifications that someone is at the front door via 2 phones can be delayed 10-15 minutes.
Phones are at home on same Wi-Fi network. Both phones get delayed notification at the same time.
Any fix for this or is this a Google server issue?

Hey there,
I just wanted to jump in real fast and thank you for your feedback. There is still no update on a fix, I fully understand how frustrating this is not to have a fix for these delayed alerts.
Please feel free to submit your feedback to us. I've put instructions for feedback below.
If you need anything else, please let me know.
Best Regards,
Brad.

Hi there,
Sorry for my late response. Thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I just wanted to make sure that your issue is addressed. I am terribly sorry to hear that you have had such a hard time with this! I would love to look into this issue further and help find a solution for you. First off, I have some questions I’d like to ask you.
Do you still need help with this issue?
What troubleshooting steps have you done thus far?
Have you tried to restart your device if you haven’t already?
If the restart didn’t work, have you tried to do a Factory Reset? This would be a last resort option, but would clear out issues and the device would essentially be ‘brand new’
Please let me know if you need further assistance.
Best Regards,
Brad.

It's a intermittent issue to begin with, so won't know until it happens again if still required assistance.
As for restarting or factory resetting, I understand this may help if all notifications were delayed, but that's not the case.
Notifications to Google Home speakers and Hub's are prompt. Notifications to phones are not.
If the was an issue with the device, ALL notifications would be delayed.
So issue would more likely be with Google's server's.

Hi, SDM013.
I completely see what you are saying here. I am wondering however, if the delays are because of other reasons like having to do with your personal cell phone data plan, or with your service, or if your phone is connected to the same wifi at the time. It's all interesting and because of our new cameras, notifications have changed a bit too. I will collect your feedback of course and send it forward. I am not quite sure what else I can tell you to try besides messing with your notification settings and seeing if it makes a difference. But please let me know if you need further assistance!
Best Regards,
Brad.

Brad - check below. This issue creeped up as a warning several days before all hell broke loose. Perhaps it was a leading indicator, perhaps it was something else.
What I can say is that despite it getting really bad last night, the problem existed before last night for OP and for folks like myself.
What sort of report out can we expect? Some (well, most) of us paid for the devices and expect the associated services to function adequately. Some of us pay for the service and are being denied proper service.
11-01-2021 07:36 AM
Fully agree. Why pay the subscription if it is not realtime?
11-09-2021 05:23 PM
Brad - it only started happening after migrating my Nest account to my Google account I ignored Google’s request to migrate the account for over a year, and foolishly, finally gave in to the constant message everyone I was connecting to my Nest account. I am assuming that Nest was using a different server/software than Google. With all of the folks having this latency issue in the cameras reporting motion, it must be a Google server/software issue. Is there anyone you can contact at Google who will investigate these issues or respond to the complaints that are piling up?
10-28-2021 02:58 PM
Yes, would still like a resolve for this issue.
The Hello Doorbell has been restarted.
I highly believe it is a server issue with Google.
Google speakers and Hub's get the notification someone is at the door within 10-30 seconds.
But to have 2 separate phones getting delayed responses several minutes later.
One has a 4G connection but connected to the same Wi-Fi as the Google Home, other Phone just relying on the same Wi-Fi connection as the Google home.
On phone devices do the notifications come through the Nest app as I have a Hello Doorbell or the Google Home app?
It seems this is not a one off problem as others are saying they have the same issue.
Thanks,
Scott,

Hi there, folks.
Thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I am afraid I do not have an update on this issue. I know it is still being looked into. Once there is an update, I am sure ya'll will hear about it.
Please let me know if you need further assistance.
Best Regards,
Brad.

Well, we've been waiting forever for the status page to update.
Is there, idk, a case we can reference? The communication has been frustratingly poor.

Hi there,
Just checking in, and wanted to state that we are still working on a fix. I am afraid there is no ETA for a fix at this time. Thank you for supplying your continued feedback, and thank you for your patience.
Best Regards,
Brad.

How about issuing a refund for all of us that are paying for a service that we are clearly not getting? Lowest plan is about .32C per day.. And this has been going on now for at least a month so that is about $9.00 a person. Maybe that will help speed up the timeline! Don't forget we all PAY for this service that is broken..

Thank you cowboy123, Right on!

Hi Brad,
Is there any way of getting a more concrete response on this? I replaced my Ring doorbell with a Nest Doorbell and have significant buyer's remorse. The notifications are so slow that the person who rang the doorbell is gone before I get the notification. This is on the same network and phone as the Amazon product operated on without issue. Some basic research would indicate this problem is widespread with many users reporting similar experiences.
As it stands, the nest doorbell is not fit for purpose.
Appreciate any more detailed information you can provide as to when this will be given enough priority to be fully addressed.

I am afraid I do not have a better response on this issue. It is being looked into at this time. I wish I had a fix, but follow the steps provided in this thread and see if any of them help.
Best Regards,
Brad.

Hi Brad,
Any update? Our new BF purchase seems pretty anticlimactic.
Status page say's all is rosy but I can confirm with a rock solid internet connection to the device and from my home there is a significant delay

None help and I am getting frustrated, time to look for another doorbell camera!

Still an issue. I reset the device, no improvement. How do I do a factory reset?
11-09-2021 04:20 PM
Was your issue resolved? I am not experiencing same thing!
11-09-2021 04:21 PM
Now*
11-09-2021 02:19 PM
I am having the same issue. Almost 20 minute delay sometimes.
11-09-2021 04:30 PM
I am not even getting all of mine ans when I do they are up to 22 minutes late!
11-09-2021 03:18 PM
Im having this issue also with my Nest HD Outdoor cam with the full paid subscription. So this would lead me to believe this is a server problem and not a device problem. Pay alot of money for this service to not work reliably and 15 minutes notification is a loooong time for home security. Please fix I have alot invested in the NEST eco system and this could be what forces me to another platform.
11-09-2021 03:37 PM
Same experience. Triggers delayed to IPhone, Pixel (off network, only Wi-Fi, and iPad on WiFi). Google issue, not device related as two cameras and doorbell with overlap in focus will all deliver similarly delayed notifications at precisely the same time to each device from each respective camera. Not my cameras, not my wifi, not my phones/tablets- this is a Google latency.
11-09-2021 03:56 PM
Same deal with my wired Nest Doorbell. It is delayed by at least 15 minutes for the last number of days. I don’t know if there is an SLA, but 15+ mins is unreasonable to be able to expect to use this for real time communication when someone is detected by the product…. Especially when it take 30 seconds more to actually connect to the session and start talking… they are normally already walking away and barely in audible distance…. Anyways, I agree on refunds for November until this is corrected and prorated once they are…
11-09-2021 03:59 PM
I just got a nest hello warranty replacement last week. My replacement is Google branded instead. But I've noticed since notifications are super delayed. Don't know if it's coincidence or with the Google branded hello
11-09-2021 03:57 PM
Well been on phone for 50 minutes.. And now magically there is an outage regarding notifications.. SO we will see if this resolves the issue.
11-09-2021 04:28 PM
Let's hope so!
11-09-2021 05:05 PM
Their status page hasn't updated since Nov 3.
11-09-2021 04:13 PM
We are experiencing the exact same! Paid subscription and 15 to 20 min delay on android and iPhone in my home! Not getting all notifications, but when I do they are way too late. I read in another blog this was taken care of. Apparently not bc its happening to me now and has since this afternoon!
11-09-2021 04:21 PM
My son leaves for the bus stop like clockwork on time everyday. I know from the notification while I'm driving to work. Today I never got one and voice texted him while driving on the way to work to make sure he was ok.
11-09-2021 04:27 PM
Yeah its getting ridiculous. I just wish they would at the very least acknowledge there is an issue and try to resolve. So far I have not found anything to suggest otherwise.
11-11-2021 10:52 AM
Mine is back working, and provides a notification within seconds of the event. Sometimes it takes 10-15 seconds but is much faster. Today I've also been having other internet issues causing the slower notification times.
11-16-2021 01:56 AM
Spent 40 minutes every time with google nest specialist 6 times in 5 months. Issue still not resolved. I have now removed the nest door bell and gone for Ring Pro 2. Ring pro 2 probably is best out there. Notifies me in less than a second. I paid for service with a flaw. Very surprised Nest is still in business ..

I'm having the exact same problem when I'm at home on the same network. Sometimes it's in unison with the Google Nest Speaker, sometimes my Android gets the notification 5-30 minutes later. My concern lies around when I'm not home, and my phone is delayed. I'm running,
Samsung S21+, Android 11, new Google Wireless Doorbell.
10-28-2021 02:32 PM
I’m also having this same issue, delayed notifications on both my and my wife’s phones. Delay ranges from notification to notification.
10-28-2021 02:57 PM
I am also seeing this same issue. I am getting delayed notifications on my phone that are 5-20 minutes delayed, even though I am at home and on the same wifi network as the cameras.
10-29-2021 01:30 AM
I am having long delays to all notification on both wifi and cellular, with several internet providers, on different cellular networks, with different modems, also using google wifi and without, the ONLY constant is google nest products and googles servers and the issues are getting worse. I have factory reset all items every time i have changed internet providers or WiFi and it makes no difference. Notifications from non google / nest devices work perfectly. Please advise an actual fix rather than a generic response.

I’m also experiencing notification delays with our wired Nest Hello. We also have a new battery powered Nest Doorbell on a different door. The battery powered version is connected via Google Home app and the notifications are instant. Within 1 second. The wired version is connected via the Nest App and activity notifications are delayed between 20 seconds up to 15 minutes. To me this points to a Nest sever side issue. Whole house is covered by a Ubiquiti mesh WiFi network.
