Doorbell doesn't have a reconnect/update wifi settings option

So i had to reset my router due to some issues i was having, i was able to reconnect the Next Max hub and the Nest Tstat. My problem began when i was trying to reconnect my doorbell, there is no option to update the wifi settings on it and the only option is to reset the device. Google's instructions said to save any videos but how can this be achieved if i can't access the device. Is there an option online to view the video history before i do this reset again! I have looked around Nest ware and nothing comes up. To me it makes no sense why the home app cannot see the device when I'm trying to reconnect it while being right next to it.

Has anyone ran into this issue and has some ideas before I reset the device and lose all video history, i have a video that i want to take out and now it will be lost because of this. Thanks in advance.

I don't think there is any way around your situation unless you can set your network name (SSID) and password on your router to the same values you were using previously. In fact, since it's not easy to change Wi-Fi settings on Google Nest devices, this is Google Nest's first recommendation when updating your router (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9223711).

Hi @Cisco08!

Thank you for posting in the community, and to @MplsCustomer for the recommendations! I'm sorry to hear that your Nest Doorbell is not updating to your WiFi network settings. I appreciate your efforts in taking those steps before. I'm happy to help you!

In this case, you can use Google Home for web to create, save, and download video clips of your Nest Doorbell's video history; you can save events as video clips on your phone or computer.

We recommend saving event video clips first before performing a factory reset, as the events will be deleted when you reset your Nest Doorbell.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Best regards,
Geremi
