And I'm another dissatisfied customer who is experiencing an intermittent delay in getting a doorbell notification. I have just missed out on an important delivery.
Google - sort out your unfit for purpose systems!! Seriously, get with the programme and look after customers.

Can confirm this is a big issue, and I've missed many deliveries due to this.
Notifications take at least 4 seconds (but often longer) to appear on all connected iPhones and the Google Nest Hub. It's ridiculous, especially considering the 1 gbps up/down internet connection the Nest is connected to.
Whenever I know there's a delivery on the way I use the Hub to stream the doorbell camera, just to make sure I don't miss it.

What troubleshooting steps have you done so far? In case you haven't done any, you may perform a simple restart to your Nest Doorbell and Wi-Fi router and monitor its behavior.

Distance is approximately 50cm. Troubleshooting steps: Nest reboot, Nest factory reset, Wi-Fi reboot, link Nest to other access point, change Wi-Fi channels (1,3,6,11) and bandwidth (40MHz to 20MHz), using Google Home app instead of Nest app.
Multiple friends have same doorbell with same issues. Once again: this has nothing to do with everyone’s Wi-Fi or other network related devices. IT’S THE NEST.

I had a Nest Hello since launch up until last week. I was having 7-10 minute notification delays and had countless packages missed as a result. I now have the Arlo Essential Wired Doorbell. It doesn't give you the 24/7 recording as Nest Aware has, but I have instant notifications, can actively communicate with the courier, zero delay, and the video quality appears superior. My entire Nest system (Secure, Outdoor Cameras, Indoor Cameras, Nest Hello) minus the Protects and the thermostat has been removed over the next couple of weeks. I'm tired of Google's absolutely horrible product support, QA (or lack thereof), and absolution of responsibility to provide a quality, stable product. I don't remember ever having these kinds of problems with Nest was just Nest. Sure, there were learning pains, but this is f'ing awful.
