Doorbell won't connect to WiFi through app

Trying to setup my new doorbell and I keep getting errors when trying to connect to the network.  This seems to happen to me any time I add a new Google device which is insanely frustrating, but usually they end up working..... This one is not however.

I've restarted the Internet and everything else, no luck...

What kind of errors are you seeing? You have the Nest Doorbell (2nd gen, wired) right?

yes when I signed up for a trial nest aware, Google Ring Nest doorbell stopped working  so I rewired connections. Ring is getting power but doesn’t connect to Wi-Fi, camera, or migrations

Can you link me to the store page of the product you bought? Nest Doorbells are a Google product, whereas Ring Doorbells are an Amazon product.

Hey everyone,

If you have a pulsing blue LED light on the Nest doorbell, it means it is in pairing mode. Have you tried doing a factory reset on the Nest doorbell? Check out this link on how to do a factory reset on the Nest Doorbell.

Let me know if that works.

Best,
Edmond

Hi folks,

I’m sorry to hear that. Let’s see what’s going on — a few questions: what’s the status light of the doorbell? How far is the doorbell from the router? What Wi-Fi frequency band do you try to connect to (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz)? Are there devices or appliances (such as baby monitors, microwaves, cordless phones, etc.) near the doorbell? Also, were there any changes to your Wi-Fi network?

Looking forward to your response.

I appreciate your help, davidking.

Thanks,

JT

@Ds13  I have been having a similar issue. I have a fast internet connection by the doorbell, as proven by google's own speed test. Curious, when the connection fails and you click the "get help" link, does it direct you to chromecast support?

I have a theory that the app is trying to connect to the wrong device despite me scanning the QR code for my doorbell.

I've been troubleshooting my issue for a month and gotten nowhere, they even sent a replacement doorbell and I'm still having the same problem. But the doorbell was working until they did an app update and suddenly it can no longer connect.
