Face Library

The timeframe for the content of my Google Home face library  for my Nest Hello doorbell  is only from last year, like for between May to December. Why? Where are the more recent faces spotted on the camera?

Hi there,

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this, as I can imagine it has been an inconvenience. I would love to look into this further for you. You should be able to manage your saved faces, and either remove the old ones, or remove the ones that you feel don't match. You can always reset them, and the camera will pick them up again. Just depends on how long it takes the cameras to register the faces in the app.

Best regards,
Brad

Thank you. When I was reviewing my faces library I came across something (possibly a theft) from a year ago that I would like to see the video clip for. My understanding is that video history is only saved for a month or so with my Nest Aware Plus subscription. I assume that Google dumps all video older than one month and is irretrievable?

Hello folks,

@tpiper thanks for getting back to us. Nest Aware Plus can record an event up to 60 days of history and up to 10 days of 24/7 video history. Hit this link for more information. Let me know if you have any additional questions from here.

I appreciate the help, Brad.

Emerson

No thanks . It appears there is no way to go back in time past the 60 days with Nest Aware. I assume that the footage is erased by Google automatically after the 60 days.

Hey tpiper,

That's correct — the system will automatically erase the video history. Let us know if you have other questions as I'll be locking the thread after 24 hours.

Thanks,

Archie
