Floodlights acting like regular lights, not motion activated

I installed the wired cam/floodlight about a week after they hit the market and it's been great. That said, starting two days ago, the floodlights are on 24x7. Digging around on a few other posts, it appears the floodlights are now under the Home app associated under "lights". I can turn the floodlights on and off under the app, but they're no longer capable of being 'off' to be triggered 'on' by the motion sensor. I can't find a setting to adjust this - it's as if the lights are just like any other smart light here rather than a security device. Anyone know a way to disassociate the floodlights from all other lights to return the floodlights to their intended function?

The floodlights have always been available under the "Lights" section of the Google Home App, once you install them. You probably simply discovered this later. They also can be manually renamed under the device information separately from the cameras. This allows you to control them separately either manually or in a routine. For instance, I have 6 Nest Cam/Floodlights, and I added them all to a room called "Security". I can then tell Google Assistant to turn on the Security lights and they all come on. Or, I can turn them on or off manually under the lights in the home app.

As far as the motion sensor, there are many settings for this as well. The floodlights are controlled by a motion sensor built into the floodlight along with the daylight sensor, or can be controlled by the sensor in the camera once motion is detected. There are many motion sensitivity settings under the camera settings as well as the floodlight settings. Remember, they will not come on during the daylight, so it's best to test them in the dark.

I have the same problem. The light only goes off or on. The motion or timer settings do nothing
