I've tried both the app and the web and neither sends a reset password link. I'm trying to turn my chime on & off (it stopped working) and it is only visible in Nest (not the GoogleHome app which I do have my password for.)

Hello, I'm an end user like you. If I understand what you are saying you are trying to get into the NEST app? keep in mind the Wired Gen 2 doorbell does not work with the older NEST App. Can't you turn the chime on/off in the GoogeHome app?

Well it was working with the Nest app. No, the GoogleHome App gives no option to reset the chime. If I google it, it says it does but there is no selection in the software. Select Doorbell Camera, Settings just shows : Name, Home, Room, Voice Notifications, Familiar Face Detection, Video Recording, Delete Video History. If I then hit the 3 dots, it offers, Help, Feedback and Cancel.
If I do the 3 dots instead of the gear-settings after tapping the camera, all I get is Turn off Camera, Full history, Help, Feedback and Cancel in the Google Home App.
I don't understand why we can't reset our password in Nest. They do not send an email with a link.

Hmmmm, I'm out of ideas. I'm going to escalate this and see if we can get your help from Google.

@HeatherD, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. To know more about this issue, I’d like to confirm, when you go into the Nest app, are you selecting the Sign in with Nest? If you've migrated your account with Google, your password from your Nest account should be the same to your Google Home account. Try selecting the Sign in with Google option and select your email address.

Yes, I select the “sign in with Nest” option. I have migrated to google but my google password does not work in the Nest app. I just don’t understand why I cannot use the reset password link and get an email from Nest.

I am closing this issue. I’ve spent way too much time on it. I’m just gonna uninstall and reinstall the doorbell.

Hello HeatherD,
I appreciate your update. You don't need to select the Sign in with Nest anymore after you migrate your account. Please select the Sign in with Google and select your same email address to sign in.
