Hi,
Is it intended that sound alerts / notifications are not supported by the Nest Cam Indoor 2nd gen?
On 1st gen cameras / Dropcam, I can enable notifications any time any sound is detected. This is important to me as I want to know when my child is crying (main use case) - but would also like to know when things like sirens or alarms go off (even if there is no video detection / movement to go along w/ the sound).
Please help or add this feature!

Hi LurryPage,
Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. If you have the Nest Protect (smoke alarm) device, you may get its smoke and CO alerts only when you have the Nest Aware subscription. Nest Aware is a paid subscription service that you can use with your Nest products to help keep you informed about important events at your home.
Hit this link for more information and let us know how it goes.

Emerson

Hello LurryPage,
I'm dropping by to ensure that everything is covered here. How's it going with your Nest Protect? Were you able to read the information and check the link I've shared? In case you have an update, you know where to find us.
Best,
Emerson

Hi - thanks for the follow-up, but I wasn't referring to Nest Protects. I'm referring to the latest indoor cameras (and apparently any camera that is managed in the Google Home App - as ALL of them are missing the ability to send alerts / notifications based on general sounds beyond just CO / smoke alerts).
And I already have Nest Protect for my cameras.

Hey LurryPage,
Thanks for getting back to us. Sorry for the confusion. What I'm referring to is that your Nest Camera Indoor (2nd gen, wired) can detect the Smoke and CO alerts of your Nest Protect with the Nest Aware. Unlike the previous versions that can detect dog barking and person speaking while the Nest Aware is applied also. Let us know if you have more questions in mind.
Regards,
Emerson

Hi there,
We appreciate your update and for sharing here your thoughts and ideas however, we don't have any news to share about applying this feature to the Nest app or Google Home app. We're always looking for ways to improve and we'll take it as feedback. I'd suggest you send feedback using this link to let the Google Engineering team know about your concern. While they won't respond directly back to you, this is the best way to let them know about this. Please let me know if you have other questions or concerns.
Thanks,
Emerson
