Google Nest Cam wired (2nd gen) won’t connect to app

I have a google nest wired (2nd gen) that won’t connect to my google home app. I have tried several times using both the QR code and the set up code and both ways it says something went wrong. My husband was able to connect with no issues but mine won’t for some reason. I’ve tried rebooting it many times as well. Please help.

A Google Nest camera or doorbell gets connected to a Google Nest "home", not to a phone. If your husband has already connected your camera to a Google Nest "home" in the Google Home app, using his phone, then he needs to invite you to join that Google Nest "home" (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9155535). Once you accept the invitation and access the Google Nest "home" on your phone using the Google Home app, you should see the camera.

You do NOT separately try to connect your camera to your phone.
