Why are the camera listed as Nest are not supported on the Nest app ???? Just Google home!! Google home app is like a beta page not really attractive compared of Nest app!! Also I have the Hub max and how can I have on the screen the live screen of all camera at once?? Not only one at the time by clicking on!! Those improvements will make this applications way more convenient. Need to step up their game!!

I agree... Not a seamless experience at all.  Some products like the nest sensor is only for the Nest app.. Which forces some of us to have BOTH apps.

I also agree. I can look at my Nest cameras, but the 12 (yes, TWELVE) new Nest cameras that I have installed require the Google Home app.  Some of the issues with the Google Home App are:

1) It only works on my phone (I work in a secure area where I am not allowed to bring my phone).

2) Looking at the time history of the camera is painful because the time steps are much smaller and harder to control. I can quickly search through the old Nest Cam pictures and find that very useful.

3) The cameras seems to update slower (it is hard to tell, but I have worked to have solid WiFi at all corners of my house perimeter to have the cameras work well). The cameras always turn on and monitor when I ask the for the camera, but there are many more dropouts than with the old cameras.

By the way, I have 3 Nest Learning Thermostats with 6 sensors to try to monitor all corners of the house and switch the room for the target temperature.  Google Home is pretty useless for that. It is frustrating that a great app has be crippled and a half-baked app is being pushed.

Seems we all reply some how to the issues but I never have Google staff responding on why and how the products are not getting merged properly together for the better!!! If at least we could try to get a proper answer on the compatibility.

Hey folks,

Since Nest joined Google’s hardware team, we’ve been working to make the smart home less complicated, and well, more helpful. A home where products are easy to set up, simple to manage and work seamlessly together. Today, we’re committing to that goal by bringing together all Nest and Home products under the Nest brand. Introducing Google Nest.

Our team is working hard to deliver the best experience for our users — we'll take this as feedback. Keep your eye on the Google Nest Community page https://goo.gle/2JvnMRy for any updates.

Check out this link on how to file feedback.

Thanks,

Archie

I understand!! That’s why we bought into Google products because we know it’s some how relatively reliable; however I challenge your team to get it done in the next 6 months since this has been occurring for at least over a year now. Google has some of the best employees and I’m sure they can deliver. Thanks for your good work and hope to see a great update soon. Thanks
