Google nest cam (wired) 2nd generation event recording length

Hi I just got 4 nest cam (wired) 2nd generation. Also signed up for google nest aware but how do I change the lenght of the recording or the events that the camera records. So right now if there is an event (a person for example) the camera only records i think 30 seconds of video, is there a way to adjust this lets say for up to a minute?

I believe the 30 secs is a default that can't be changed. This is one of the criticisms a lot of reviews mention
