I've seen other people post years ago about the nest hello using too much bandwidth because it's uploading a lot. I'm wondering why they couldn't create a function in the app where you could tell it to not upload motion in a zone?
I have a road that runs in front of my house. I created a zone which is a very narrow area. All night long it records and uploads every single car that goes up and down the road. It seems to me all it would need is a programming tweak where you could say do not upload video from zone 2. Maybe with a switch for hours. I think that would solve a lot of people's problems with bandwidth.
The other thing is I'm getting sometimes 300 videos a day. On Friday and Saturday night I have so many cars going up and down the road that it hits 300 videos. The problem with this is to go back and review videos, I may miss something because the volume of videos is so huge. Yes I have other zone set up with recognize faces and all that other stuff. The big problem is the uploading of repetitive useless motion.
I really wish Google could solve this but since this camera and doorbell is better than any of the competitors I'm just stuck living with it. I'm just afraid one day something's going to happen and I'll miss it because it won't stand out in my group of 200 videos.

Hi Guitar1jd,
Thank you for posting here in the community. I'm sorry that you experience some troubles getting many uploading events per day on your Nest Hello. I understand how frustrating this can be. I'm happy to help you find a solution.
For a Nest Hello that can detect events, it might be overwhelming to have many videos and snapshots to view. There is currently no workaround for this situation since you already set up Activity Zones on your Nest Hello. However, your feedback is invaluable to us; please share your thoughts so we can improve future updates.
Let me know if you have more questions.
Regards,
Byron
