Hi there, my nest wired doorbell has been offline since Tuesday and it is Saturday night as of this post. I didn't notice until a visitor said she hit the doorbell and nothing happened. I checked the app and noticed no activity or video since Tuesday (I have it constantly recording). I went out to inspect the doorbell and the unit is HOT, not warm, straight up searing hot. Like I can't keep touching it for a few seconds hot. This was tonight where it's maybe high 70s outside right now and no direct sunlight. I'm leaning towards putting on some gloves and removing it because it is so hot. What should I do and how do I diagnose and fix this issue?

Hi willdeng,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. If the device is directly hit by the sunlight, it may cause malfunction and the possible outcome is not turning on due to overheating. Let's check this further — could you fill out this form?
Best,
Jenelyn
