How do I start service with an account that was part of another google account

I am taking over the existing cameras at our building. THe owner of the cameras has retired. Since we can't just change the ownership of the cameras, we are working to remove them from the retiree's account and resetting the cameras. I am currently one of the "family" on the retiree's google account. How do I start my own account to now take over the cameras?

Be sure to remove them from the current owner's account:

1. Remove a product from your account - Google Nest Help
2. Factory reset the cameras: Restart or factory reset Nest camera or doorbell - Google Nest Help

Once removed and reset:

1. Create a Google Account - Google Account Help
2. Get started with your Nest camera - Google Nest Help
