I cannot perform factory reset on nest doorbell battery

My nest doorbell battery (wired) went offline. I took the doorbell off and tried a restart but the nest app would not connect. I tried a factory reset but it will not work. When I hold the reset button for 12 seconds or even up to 30 seconds, it does not make any chimes or yellow light. Because of this, I cannot connect the doorbell to my nest app.

It seems this is happening to other customers as well. See this post from today:

You could try contacting Support:

1. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.

You have listed this a the Nest Doorbell (battery) which is the newer (2nd gen) doorbell and it ONLY works with the GOOGLE HOME app.   If you were using the NEST app before is it possible you have the original NEST HELLO (1st generation) doorbell?
