Nest app includes 3 earlier cameras
Google Home includes these three as well as new Google Battery Cam
I want to include the new battery cam in the Nest app as well
Any suggestions?

Sigh. As multiple postings--many angry--on this forum indicate, the new Google Nest Battery Camera does not work with the Google Nest app. By design, it only works with the Google Home app, and access our existing Nest cameras and doorbells is limited in the Google Home app. So those of us who have existing Google Nest cameras and doorbells now have to toggle between two apps. Also, the new Google Nest Camera Battery cannot be accessed from a web browser at home.nest.com.

Same boat here. Have been learning that they're phasing out the Nest app and running though the Google Home. To be honest, it's been kind of a kick to the groin.

And not only are the new cameras not supported in the Nest app, the Google home support for the new and old cameras are terrible..... What a terrible launch.

I want to connect my brand new expensive camera to my nest app just like my last very expensive camera. My last outdoor camera costed over 200 dollars and I loved the nest app. I just bought a new nest indoor outdoor camera that costed over 150 dollars. There’s nothing that helps connecting it to my nest app. The google home app sucks. It’s unorganized and all over the place. I don’t want my security cameras mixed in with my light bulbs, light sockets, dehumidifiers, or my TVs or chromecasts. Those things are toys and or luxury’s. My cameras are important. Security is more important than the other crap. If I knew that I could not add this brand new nest camera, then I would had bought something else. Right now it’s no better than ring, Merkury or even blink. Blink is the worst. I want to return this inferior item since it is inferior now due to not having the nest app. It’s like having a car with no key but you can sit and look pretty in it. This 150 dollar piece of junk is now only worth 24 dollars now. How dare google falsely use the Nest brand logo on these cameras when in fact you can’t connect it to the Nest app. I sense a huge lawsuit brewing here soon in the near future.

Hi Brad,
Any idea if there is any intent of Google to reinstate the NEST application to include the newer Nest Cameras? Just asking for a friend.

Our long term plan is to use the Google Home app as the one place you can control all of your favorite Nest and other smart home devices, as well as Google Assistant. In the near future, we’ll allow users to set up previous Nest devices and have full control in the Home app.
Please let me know if you have further questions.
Best Regards,
Brad.

With all due respect, shouldn't existing Nest app functionality have ALREADY been migrated to the Google Home app BEFORE introducing new Google "Nest" cameras that ONLY work in the Google Home app, rather than doing this in the "near future"? And shouldn't the new cameras also ALREADY work with home.nest.com or some version thereof, rather than at some point in the future?
