I have several google devices around the home.
3 Google Home Hubs + 1 Google Home Hub Max + 3 Lenovo Smart Clocks + Google Nest Doorbell Battery
When the doorbell is triggered, all devices make the announcement chime and voice announcement.
Only the Google Home Hubs will stream the video.
The Lenovo Smart Clocks will announce the doorbell however it won't stream any video.
It simply states "camera feed is not available" on the main screen.
I need some support understand what is the issue causing the fault, as the doorbell will tigger the Smart Clocks, it implies to me everything is configured correctly.
Video will stream to only official Google devices.
Looking forward to a resolution.
As mention

Bump!

Hi Adam,
Just to add a bit of weight to this. I also have a couple of Lenovo smart clocks and they also don't show the feed. I don't know why really they are powerful enough to show a stream from the doorbell cam. There is a hacky way to show a YouTube video from the smart clock too and it played fine.
Hopefully they will give these smart clocks a little more freedom to do some basic video tasks in the future and they don't really compete with the Nest Hubs

Thanks for the response.
I previously owned an original Nest Doorbell and they worked great with the clocks.
I could watch the video stream and use the 2-way intercom system. So I know its got to be a software issue.
Fingers crossed!

Hi Brad, as of today the problem persists and we cannot view nest doorbell battery feed on the Lenovo smart clock.
Lenovo say it's a Google issue.
Many Thanks,
Richard

Hey all,
Sorry for the late reply. I wanted to follow up and ensure everyone is good to go. Do you mind me asking if you have Google Assistant installed on your Lenovo device? This would allow access for the video to be shown when the doorbell is rung. I did find a helpful article that provides more details on how to set up your smart devices in the Google Home app, if you are having trouble with that.
Please let me know if that helps, or if the issue persists.
Best regards,
Jake

Hi Jake. The Lenovo smart clocks are Google assistant devices, see this link. Also see previous posts where we say the notification comes through but the video is broken.
Its clearly a bug in the software.
Thanks Richard

Any fix yet? I have a Lenovo clock and thinking about getting a nest doorbell (battery)

Nope

Yeah….. Google seem to be GREAT at taking their time to support their customers who have spent money on their hardware.
it will work with Google home hubs, however it won’t with my Lenovo smart clocks.
even thought it used to work with my previous nest doorbell.
thanks Google. highly recommended.

Thanks Adam. Pretty messed up that they won't answer people here. Hopefully Google has a software update coming? But seeing how there is no answer my bet is that they don't.
