Live Video Unavailable. The Camera may be unreachable or saving battery

My nest cam indoor 2nd generation worked for over a year. I changed internet service providers to Verizon Fios and now the live feature has subsequently stopped working.  I get movement notifications, and can view the recorded history, but no live video for more than a second or two. Then I get the message “Live Video Unavailable. The Camera may be unreachable or saving battery.”  I've tried resetting it to factory settings twice, I updated the app, and after giving the camera its own dedicated ip address on WiFi, Verizon is unable to help. I'm at a loss of what to do next and hope someone here can fix this issue.

Seems to be a known issue? At least many others having the same issue: https://twitter.com/darrsil/status/1665721975833067522?s=46

Hi everyone,

@@khcampbell, I appreciate you posting and updating us on your efforts to address your concern. I'm sorry to hear the issue still persists. Let's see what's going on. There are a couple of other things that might affect the connectivity of your Nest Camera to the network, like parental controls or security settings on the router or configuring the thermostat not to connect to the Wi-Fi network. In this case, I am referring you to reach out to your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or router manufacturer’s website for information on how to adjust parental controls and security settings because it varies between different routers, and some ISPs have special controls for these settings. Here are the most important recommended Wi-Fi network and router settings for use with Nest products. For more details, refer to the sections below.

Enable 802.11 b/g/n if you have an 802.11 ac router.
Set your Wi-Fi router's DHCP lease time to at least 2 hours.
Turn on your router's Power Save Mode (PSM) if you have a Nest Thermostat.
Enable IPv6 if you have Nest Protect.
On your Wi-Fi router, turn on multicast if you're adding additional Nest devices.

Also, if I may ask, how far is your camera from your router?

I look forward to your response.

@GM9965, thanks for sharing the link.

Best,
Renz

Thank you! Verizon replaced my router and now the camera is working. I hope others find their solutions.
