Live video stream from browser does not play, frozen with blue spinning circle

About two weeks ago, whenever I try to view my Nest cameras from home.nest.com on my Windows 10 PC, the live video stream will not start and displays a spinning blue circle.  Clicking on the video history also does not display the video stream.  This happens on Chrome, Edge and Firefox on my PC.  Connecting to Nest from my Iphone from the same location does play the video stream successfully.

Any idea what could be preventing the stream from playing?

I had this happen about 6 months ago.  I had to get out the ladder and to up and physically unplug the cam from power and plug it back in.  After it rebooted it worked fine.

I tried this, and it did not fix the issue.

Hi there,

Sorry for my late response. Thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I just wanted to make sure that your issue is addressed. I am terribly sorry to hear that you have had such a hard time with this! I would love to look into this issue further and help find a solution for you. First off, I have some questions I’d like to ask you.

  • Do you still need help with this issue?

  • What troubleshooting steps have you done thus far?

  • Have you tried to restart your device if you haven’t already?

  • If the restart didn’t work, have you tried to do a Factory Reset? This would be a last resort option, but would clear out issues and the device would essentially be ‘brand new’

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Best Regards,

Brad.

  • Do you still need help with this issue? YES

  • What troubleshooting steps have you done thus far? Tried 3 different browsers, checked firewall and setup rules to allow various addresses, restarted router and cameras in the house, emptied all browser caches / cookies, tried incognito mode....

  • Have you tried to restart your device if you haven’t already? Yes

  • If the restart didn’t work, have you tried to do a Factory Reset? This would be a last resort option, but would clear out issues and the device would essentially be ‘brand new’ No, nor do I want to go to that extent.

I am having similar issue, tried 3 different browsers.  The strange thing is when I go to google home on my phone it seems to be working fine, but when I try to view it in my browser, I just see a blue spinning circle.  If I have to do a factory reset that's going to be a pain because the camera is setup inside of our locations 200 miles away.

I'm having the same issue.  my nest branded doorbell stopped working so I picked up a replacement.  So far I am not impressed with googles take over of the Nest brand.
