Live video unavilable

I have 2 Nest Cam Battery Outdoors, both plugged in with Google kit, one indoors and the other outdoors. Also, a new Google Wifi Pro two pack that is working fine and has an excellent signal at the cams, plus the latest Google Home app, and a Pixel 7 Pro phone. The cams are not playing nicely, no live feed and the recorded clips are either unavailable or very short. I have removed, reset, and reinstalled everything, plus tried all the remedies suggested in messages here, all with no luck. What now? I feel I have tried everything I can find.

The Home app also frequently says "camera unavailable". This is perplexing since my phone shows "excellent" wifi strength at the cams. HELP!

One more thing, I NEVER get notifications.

I see other people here reporting the same problem.  I don't believe you can fix it at your end.  I believe it is a setting that needs to be changed by Google at their end.     My best advice is to open a support ticket and that will let you place a phone call to speak with a live person.   Here is the link:

OH, one more thing.  I found this in another thread.  Maybe this will fix the problem....

6/25/22 For Goggle routers not allowing live video do this:

Go to Google home app,

Wifi

Settings

Preferred activities

Uncheck both activities.

I did uncheck them with no luck. Thanks for the support ticket advice, I'll contact them.

The contact with Google support was very quick. All equipment is operating normally, but still with the video problem. I have poor internet speed, which they think is the problem. I thought the great wifi was all that is required, but they said no, decent internet speeds are also needed.  This is the first I've heard or read this, but it came straight from Google.

Thanks for the update. So what happens if you turn off the WIFI on your phone (or leave the house) and are operating on cell-data only?  Because that should work and you should be able to see the live image.    Or go to a friends house that has better wifi?  I think it is worth testing this way to determine if it is really your internet speed or something else.    Did you run a speed test on your home internet to see what it is?

Another thing you can test is Google just released  preview website that lets you view the LIVE images (only for now) of your cameras from your computer.  See if you can see the live images there.  Here is the website.

After trying everything I've seen here, I can only conclude that internet speed is important. Google doesn't say what is adequate, and I have no idea why great wifi isn't enough when within the house (Nest wifi 6e Pro with "excellent" connectivity.)
