I have a Google nest account with a Gmail account I no longer have access to get the verification code. I can't login into my account to be verified. I want to move 3 cameras and 3 thermostats over to a new account. I've tried a factory reset and I still get the error message that the camera is connected to another account. I know the issue isn't a Google issue but an email issue on my end. How do I close that account out now and move everything over to a new one. I can give you my old account info if needed

If you still have the original camera box on one of the leaflets in small writing is a phone number for support. They may be able to help. Hope you get it sorted i know how distressing it can be. I have over $2000 worth of cameras that haven't worked properly in over a year and completely unusable for about 5 weeks now.

I don't have the boxes and can't find a number to call. Does Google monitor these chats? Very very frustrating.

Hi everyone,
@Fsc_ascws, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. To confirm, have you tried retrieving your password? In case you haven't done it yet, you should be able to reset the password on your email provider’s website and then access your email account to view the email we sent to you. If you can't see your verification email from your inbox, try checking your spam, trash or junk folders. Let us know how it goes.
I appreciate your answer, Fraa.
Regards,
Emerson

Emerson, Not sure if your a real person or a robot replying. The first sentence in my post is that I DO NOT have access to my email account any longer. I can not login to check for the code, spam and junk folders have nothing to do with this. I need a person at Google to change/update my email account associated with my nest account.

Hey there,
@Fsc_ascws, I’m sorry for the trouble this has caused you. Let me help you out. The other option here, since you don't have any access to your original Google Nest account, is to transfer your Nest devices to a new Google Nest account. For your Nest thermostat, you need to factory reset it and connect it to the new account. Check out this link on how to factory reset your Nest thermostat.
We have to do an automated deactivation for your Nest Cameras (1st Gen Nest Camera) to connect to a new Nest account. Please take note that all video history will be removed from the Nest Camera. Here are the steps:
1. Unplug the camera(s).
2. Wait at least 48 hours (2 days).
3. Before the pairing process, change the WiFi network SSID or use a mobile hotspot.
4. Plug the cameras back into a power outlet and connect them to the account using the new WiFi network SSID.
5. Once they're paired, change the WiFi network SSID back to the original SSID, or if you use the mobile hotspot to connect, just turn off the mobile hotspot. (This will cause the camera to go offline)
6. Use the Nest app to update the camera's WiFi settings to reflect the original SSID.
Let me know if that helps.
Thanks,
Edmond
