My wired doorbell stopped ringing the inside chime. It used to work.

My doorbell is wired but the labels DO NOT offer that option.

My doorbell used to work fine. I changed my router to a Comcast router and now the inside chime stopped working. I can jumper the screws on the back of the doorbell and the chime works. I rebooted the doorbell and while it was rebooting the chime worked when the button was pushed but as soon as the reboot finished, the chime stopped working. 

 I found the chime turned off in the app and turned it on but still nothing. I found the quiet time option in the Home app and it is NOT turned on. What am I missing?

curious what does a person need to do to reset it?  My indoor bell stopped working?  It is a real light ring now?  Thanks

Yes, we still need assistance.  Indoor chime does not work now.

  • Worked correctly for 1+ years
  • App is set to Indoor Chime = On
  • Bypassed the Hello wiring and Mechanical Chimes work correctly
  • Wired Hello so presumably it restarted when it's wiring was disconnected for testing the mechanical chime

  • Performed a factory reset

Same result, indoor chime did not activate during setup, not activating with the button.

Your reset process (while a bit complicated) worked and the chimes are working again. Thanks for th follow up!

I am glad to hear that the issue has been resolved for you, pbfoye! I am sorry to hear that you are still running into this issue, SonomaGT. I am surprised it is still not working for you. Do you have a Nest Chime connector? Or a different brand? I look forward to your response.

I have the original Nest Chime connector installed, it came with the Hello.

I would suggest that you contact a Nest Pro to see if they can come and check out your setup to see what the issue is. That would be my suggestion. Or you can look over this guilde here to make sure that everything is installed correctly.

It worked for well over a year with no problems and my other Nest products, about 20 of them, were all installed correctly.  Is the "Pro" troubleshooting guide available or is there a troubleshoot guide specific to the Chime?

Yes please mine stopped working as well, please post reset process
