Nest 2 Doorbell Rings Hub But Not Mechanic Doorbell

Hello,

Just replaced my Nest 1 Doorbell with a Nest 2 Doorbell because Nest 1 stopped ringing the mechanical doorbell and Nest Hub.

  • Yes, I replaced the transformer with a larger one. Did that when Nest 1 stopped ringing the Hub and mecahnical doorbell.
  • Yes, the new Nest 2 rings the Hub.
  • Yes, the wiring is the same and the puck is installed correctly.
  • Yes, I have checked the settings in the Home app.

Is there a way to check to see if the puck has gone bad?

Did you replace your 4-wire 1st gen chime puck with the 2nd gen 2-wire chime puck?

I have seen a few posts in this forum from customers who received a faulty 2-wire chime puck with their 2nd gen Google Nest Doorbell.

I did. And strangely enough it just started working. All I can figure is it needed time to properly connect.
