Any ideas?

I have 5 nest cams. One has dropped out and I cannot re-connect it.

It just buffers.

Hi 500Norton,

Thanks for reaching out. I'd like to help. A few questions: what type of Nest Camera are you using? Do you receive any messages or codes in the app?

Try these steps:

  1. For ease of setup, make sure your camera is within 15 - 20 ft (4 - 6 m) of the Wi-Fi router and the phone or tablet you're using for setup.
  2. Make sure Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are both turned ON on your phone or tablet.
  3. Turn OFF mobile/cellular data.
  4. Reboot your router. Most routers just require that you unplug the power source and then plug it back in to reboot.
  5. Reboot your camera by removing the power cable, then reconnect it.
  6. Reboot your phone by pressing and holding its power button.
  7. Make sure you're using the latest version of the Google Home app, by checking your app store for any updates.

Let me know how it goes.

Best,

Jenelyn

Hi Thanks for this. The issue was the power lead (transformer) had failed. I have 5 cameras in all and this is the first to do so.  I managed to get (just one) it on eBay (they are scarce it seems). After re-connecting the camera, a Nest outdoor version, it reinstalled.
