Nest Cam Floodlight Won't Connect

Hi,

My modem crashed, I got a new one, and my nest cam floodlight won't go back online. I tried everything. Need some tips on what to do after a factory reset and the cam still won't get through the set up on Google Home.

Thanks,

Brett

Hi there!

Thanks for your reply.
I apologize for the inconvenience you've been experiencing with your Nest Cam and Floodlights. I understand that you have recently changed your modem, and when trying to connect your Nest Cam with Floodlights to the new modem, it is just not connecting. You have tried doing the factory reset but are still having the same issue. Let me help you to solve this.

In order to give you the correct guidance, I need some extra information. Here are some questions for you:

  • How far have you gotten in pairing your device?
  • What is the color of the LED status light?
  • How far is the device from the router?
  • Can you connect the internet with other devices?
  • Have you tried using a different mobile device?

If the color of the LED status light is solid green, then you will need to try the factory reset again. You can follow the next steps:

  1. Plug the camera into a power source.
  2. Locate the reset button on the back of the camera.

Tip: The reset button on the Nest Cam (battery) is located on the back of the camera head.
  3. Press and hold the button:
    • At 10 seconds, the status light will blink yellow four times, and you'll hear a countdown tone.
    • At 12 seconds, the status light will be steady, solid yellow while the camera starts the factory reset, and you'll hear a confirmation tone.
    • Note: It can take more than 12 seconds, you need to wait until the tone stops to release the button.
  4. Release the button. Your camera will restore to its factory settings. And the light will start to pulse blue.

Please check the following articles: Restart or factory reset Nest camera or doorbell and Install Nest Cam with Floodlight.

Tell me how it goes.

Regards,

Daniel.
