The power cable on my nest cam outdoor has dry rooted. The outer cover on the wire is missing for roughly 6 inches and the camera doesn't want to function properly. Is there any fixing this issue?

Since Google Nest does not provide spare parts unless a product is within the 1-year warranty period, I wonder whether you could clean up the corroded sheathing on your wires and then wrap each wire in electrical tape to solve the problem.

That was my next plan of attack. I wasn't sure of the warranty that was on the cameras either. I have had them for 6 years or so. They have been good except this problem. Thank you for the suggestion.

Hey folks,
@znb1988 If you're in the US, Nest Cam Outdoor has a one year warranty. Try to look to a third-party retailer that has the same specification of it. Learn more here.
@MplsCustomer I appreciate the help.
Thanks,
Archie

My cameras are out of warranty period. I will have to find something else to use instead. Thank you.
