Nest Camera cannot connect to network

I have tried multiple times but the nest cam setup fails at “Connecting to Joining Device”, it circles for minutes and then fails saying something went wrong. This is really frustrating.

In this post, another customer discovered that if they left the "Public Preview" version of the Google Home app, they were then able to add their camera:

If that's not the case with you, this "Connecting to Joining Device" has been a perennial problem with some users for at least two years. Some customers have had success with turning off all of their other Google Nest devices during the install.  You can also make sure that your phone is on the same Wi-Fi network as your Google Nest devices during the install process.

I had this exact issue a while ago. If memory serves me right it was a pain but I kept having to reset the doorbell by the factory button and after numerous attempts it connected. Not ideal I know but it did finally work. Hope you get it sorted. If you can search my questions I might have put on there what I did.

Hello folks,

@HW1, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. To know more about this issue, I’d like to confirm, what is the light status of your Nest Camera? How far is it from your Wi-Fi router? Make sure it has a blue light pulsing indicating that it's ready to connect.

I appreciate your response, MplsCustomer and Jacobs503.

Regards,

Emerson
